Multiple Versions of Files

Disk Hero PC can keep UNLIMITED versions of files for as long as you want. The application come preloaded with 5 versions by default.

Every time you make an update (addition or deletion) to an existing file, the new version of this file will be backed up automatically. Disk Hero will keep versions of each file, and provide you with an option to set a maximum number of versions that you want to have retained (see advanced options under FILE within your main Disk Hero application running on your PC).

You can recover and download any of the versions that have been saved 24/7.

Here is an example of how this feature might be used:

Suppose you are creating a long report and you are adding sections or pages over a two-week period. You may decide part way through your project to delete a complete section so that your report won't be too long. Just before finishing you report, you find out from your boss that she is particularly interested in details on the section you have deleted.

No problem. You simply log into your Web Control Panel at Disk Hero and download several versions of the report that were saved around the time you deleted the section you want to recover. Or you can open the main Disk Hero application on your PC and on the right side window ID the file and version which is date and time stamped and retrieve the file to your local PC.

This will allow you to find the deleted section and copy and paste it into your most recent version of the document.

System Administrators using a Disk Hero Business or Reseller account:  When you log into your web portal administration you will have the ability to mark by end user account if you want all deletes kept in your Disk Hero company backup storage area. This means all version of files and there history kept until you administer file management process moving data back down to your data storage media.
