Disk Hero FS is an automated file sharing program to others to have password access to any files you want them to view. This can be used for large files that can not make it into email systems. Files which are shared and then get up dated by you in day to day basis will automatically be updates through our backup system. The users you share these file with can always login and retrieve the newest version of the file.

This is an independent application that does not require the people your sharing files with to use of any of the Disk Hero automated backup products as the access to the shared files is all done through browsers.

• Did you ever try to email a large file to a friend as an attachment, only to discover that their server would not allow a file of that size?
• Have you ever emailed a file as an attachment that included sensitive or personal information that you were hoping did not fall into the wrong hands? for example: Your tax information to your CPA at tax time.
• Have you ever wanted a way to permanently share selected information with a colleague?

From that moment on, all new or modified files you store in the same directory on your PC will be available for your friend to download from any PC with Internet access.

Your friends can even modify the file and upload it to your Disk Hero space (as a second copy) if you want.

Note: You can cancel the sharing privileges at any time.

Set-up and Flow:

Disk Hero FS can be activated on a manual basis for a single FOLDER at any time, however the following steps will show the typical flow for an automated system of file distribution:

1. Create a directory on your local system for files to be shared automatically
   Note: You can have multiple directories, each with separate share lists and passwords
2. Mark this new directory for upload (backup) to the Disk Hero server on a real-time basis
3. Create a test file
4. Open the Disk Hero agent on your system
5. Highlight the new directory on the Disk Hero Server (right window) and select the button under File Sharing (You can also log into your Control Panel at the Disk Hero web site)
6. On the right side of Disk Hero where you have now marked your folder for SHARING you must follow these 3 steps:        Step 1 click here            Step 2 click here           Step 3 click here
7. Click on the "Send an Email" option and send an email to each person that will be sharing this folder with. This email will contain a link for them to see the file once they put in the password provided in the email.
   
8. Once the original folder setup is complete, each time you create a new file (or modify an existing file) on your system in the new directory, Disk Hero automatically takes the following actions
   • Recognize the new or updated file (backup software functions)
   • Compress and encrypt the file
   • Upload it to the Disk Hero server
   • Each time a new file is updated the share receipt can then go an pull the new file
