Lost or Crashed U3/USB Drive or PC - Need data back fast

Ok so your U3 drive has crashed (not launching at all) or you have lost your drive, stolen or your dog ate it.

This is what you can do.

On a PC do the following:

  1. Go to http://www.diskhero.com and the Downloads button along the top, download the PC version of Disk Hero - the version for Windows 2000, XP or Vista.

  2. Go through the install and when it asks for a USER NAME and PASSWORD enter in your original information into option 3.  Picking the 3rd option returning client and entering your old account User Name and Password hit continue.  In the next screen text area enter in a new name for this computer such as "home PC". Then finish the installation and move on to step three.
  3. Once loaded you retrieve files from the RIGHT SIDE (Server side) of the application.  Above the right side window is a pulldown list choose your old account and your files will appear.  Check the files and folders you want and hit the blue icon in between the two windows to retrieve your files to a local U3 or PC.  If you like you can always have Disk Hero remain on your PC and backup files in real-time.

Here are images of the process:

To get to files one at a time in a browser log in to your account at www.diskhero.com or do this:

OR - get all files back quickly
