When you go to www.diskhero.com and press on DOWNLOADS you will find this page will automatically scan for Microsoft's .NET framework and if you need it you will be prompted to download and install. Once .NET is installed or if it is already installed, you will be prompted to answer a few registration questions before the main Disk Hero application wizards begins.Once the wizard begins you will be asked 3 questions and then Disk Hero will scan your main default file areas to locate your data. Once this is completed you have the choice of accepting these scans/settings or marking your own locations for data files as you please.
When you hit BACKUP DATA NOW the files begin to transfer - note: initial loads of data may take a while depending on your connection speed and how much data you are sending up. Few things to remember is the main Disk Hero application uses the lowest resources on your PC therefore you will not see any PC slowdown. Also, if you do not finish the initial upload - do not worry Disk Hero will begin where it left off next time you get an internet connection.
This entire process from download to starting to send your first file takes 3-5 minutes at the most.
