The Most Effective Way to Back Up Your Files Continuous Backup means that Disk Hero is always watching your files; always looking for changes. Whenever a change is detected, our backup engine immediately extracts the changes and securely transfers them to our data center. If your off-line Disk hero keeps track of your files that are new and modified and backs them up when you get back on-line, even if it is days or weeks apart. What's Wrong with a Scheduled Backup? Most online backup tools are based on the concept of a scheduled backup. Scheduling means that the PC has to be online and running when the backup happens. An administrator may set the backup to happen at 10:00pm every night. If your PC is shut down at 8:00pm, your backup fails and you have to wait for the next schedule to start and your backup for that day does not occur. Why is continuous backup is better? Instead of one big backup at once, we do backups throughout the day. When you save a file Disk Hero backs it up even if you are using the keyboard or mouse. In fact you'll probably never notice the backups running except if you look in your system tray. Since there is no schedule to miss, you will never miss an opportunity to have your files backed up. Our backup system runs in the background with LOW CPU usage which means maximum PC usage for your needs. Interruptible Backup Performing even a small backup while you are using your PC runs the chance of making your PC seem slow. For this reason, our backup runs in the background at the lower priority for CPU usage not like others who might monitor your mouse and keyboard for activity. When you save a document we backup a copy to our servers - it is that easy.
